Image formation |
| Each of the six pinholes projects
an image onto the film, however in order to obtain the same density of coverage for the entire film area, it is inevitable that the image projected by one pinhole must slightly overlap that of the adjacent one. Thus when scenes are photographed some parts appear to be superimposed. This effect could becorrected by shortening the focal length, however this type of projection would cause vignetting resulting in loss of the impression of continuity. |
